Types of discrimination
Equal opportunity means giving everybody a fair go in public life.
It is unlawful under the Equal Opportunity Act (SA), 1984 for anyone to be treated unfairly on the basis of:
disability
race
age
sex
sexuality
pregnancy
marital status.
The Act also makes unlawful:
sexual harassment
victimisation.
